Recipe for Protein Brownies

This is my recipe for protein brownies that I came up with while experimenting in the kitchen with some protein powder. Only the second the batch, but they were what I was looking for; so if you’re looking for a serious batch of high protein and anabolic brownies – give them a go.

100g of at least 60% Chocolate
75g of Butter
500ml of Semi Skimmed Milk
2 Eggs
200g of Chocolate Protein Powder
350g of Rolled Oats

Medium sized pan
Glass bowl
Baking Tray
Knife and Chopping Board
Oven preheated to 135oC

Step 1: Boil water and pour into a medium sized pot, place glass bowl on top, then add chopped up chocolate and butter to melt.

Step 2: Add the two eggs, stir in, then add the milk slowly while stirring – so as not to cool the mixture.

Step 3: Add the protein powder while stirring, take your time.

Step 4: Add the rolled oats, always while stirring, which is essential to keep the mixture from setting. Strongly advise not just dumping it all in.

Step 5: Take about 5 minutes to completely add the rolled oats and stir to an even consistency, add some more hot water if needed, but the mixture should be thick but not to dry.

Step 6: Add olive oil to a baking tray, then add the mixture to the tray evenly; then put into an oven at 135 degrees celsius for 15 minutes.

Step 7: Remove from oven, leave to cool, then cut as required to how much protein you want per brownie. I got ten out of the batch shown.

My batch was pretty thick with oats with a good amount of protein, making one of them a meal in itself. But feel free to adjust this recipe to suit and let me know of your changes in the comment form below.
