Valencian Design Week 2012

The 4th year of the Valencian Design Festival

Its organsied by the Valencia Association of Designers, which sees many locations, venues and studios open their doors between the 18th till 22nd. Although not exactly a week, this city wide invitation is extended to designers and the general public alike so everyone can see what Spain’s third largest city has created.

The design week coinsides with the Feria Habitat: a large gathering of industrial and products design companies who occupy Valencia’s largest exhibition space to show their items as a business congress. Also at this time Valencia puts on a fashion show hosted with the Agora, the exhibition space within the City of Arts and Science. These three events and others all within a week makes the city a pretty exciting place to be for anybody interested in design and creativity.

This article is in no way an exhaustive review of these events, except is a visual flavor of the Thursday which sees a focus on the disrict of Ruzafa located in the South East of the city centre. What’s photographed is a taste of that day.
